This course combines field/industry photography and practical theory. Unlike a technically-oriented workshop, with photographic theory to the side, it helps you synthesize different sources of input. It helps you see more deeply into the potential of photography in your hands. It aims to incorporate and refine these knowledges into your own photographic practice, thereby enhancing your future outcomes.
This course will take the student through various theories, which are then used as the basis for techniques, practical experience and professional feedback throughout the course.

This session includes a 2 hour introduction to photography in commercial / advertising, and 6 hours of field photography both in location and studio. You can

This session focuses on the concept of studio lighting, how to utilise existing equipment, with case studies of the photographer and hands-on workshop in a commercial photography studio. We includecase
– studies of photographer’s works, the stories behind each example of photographylighting tutorial with professional studio lighting equipment: understanding
– how to control studio lighting for optimal effectshow to use available lighting equipment to create effective studio like lighting
– small group hands-on workshop in the studio with photographer’s instruction

This session engages soft theory to understand different genres of photography, exploring the meaning of the photographic image and where photography fits in contemporary art and the commercial field. It includes
